Russian Opera Stars
Prahova Classic Nights is a series of concerts featuring the Russian Opera Stars alongside famous instrumentalists from Romania, in an excellent location, at the Cantacuzino Castle, a unique and atypical space for opera concert.
The Prahova Classic Nights represents an artistic concept created by mezzo-soprano Margarita Mamsirova, in collaboration with the company Zamora-Estate and beloved and talented friends, famous opera singers. Provided with such exclusive location and beautiful sceneries, the artists initiated a unique manifestation in Romania gathering great international musical stars, in a series of amazing concerts.
The distinguished mezzo-soprano Margarita Mamsirova, got inspired by the history of the Cantacuziono Castle, where at the beginning of the XX century the prince and princess Cantacuzino were organizing a five o’clock musical, in honor of notable Romanian personalities of that time. The Castle Cantacuzino is a right place with wonderful surroundings, natural areas, which deserves to have organized regular concerts of classic music. In this way it is being built a cultural bridge between Russia and Romania, both countries delivering quality events performed by exceptional artists.

Cantacuzino Castle
At the foot of the Zamora Mountains in the place of an old hunting shelter, the prince Gheorghe Grigore Cantacuzino, also known as the ,,Nabob”, laid in 1906 the foundation stone of the castle that now carries his name.
The construction of the castle was entrusted to an illustrious professor and engineer, Grigore Cerchez, who designed it in Brâncovenesc style. Cerchez started building the castle in 1906 and it took five years, until 1911, to complete it. In terms of building materials, he chose to use carved stone brought from the Caraiman Mountains, on an area of 3148 msq, obtaining impressive results, similar to the cells of the monasteries from Romania. The building is situated in the eastern part of the Bușteni city, at an altitude of 916 m, having a large view on the Bucegi Mountains and the magnificent Prahova Valley, full of history and legends.
Today, the castle is open for visitation and is host to various cultural events, which include exhibitions with the artworks of some of the greatest artists of the world or classical music concerts with the performances of renowned artists.
